We're reaching the end! We have one more shot to shoot this upcoming week and we'll be DONE with animation! This week, we began reshooting the dance sequence, as well as getting a little bit of compositing done for Phase 4 and starting work on our color script. It's crazy to see how far things have progressed since the beginning of the quarter and we can't wait for you all to see the final product! Wish us luck!
As we come closer to the end of the quarter, things continue to look up for the production. This week, we focused on shooting smaller scenes and backdrops needed for compositing later on. This way, weeks 9 and 10 can be dedicated to primarily reshooting and reworking the dance scene. We are very lucky to have this extra breathing room and want to take full advantage of it to make this film as great as we can make it! Wish us luck during the home stretch!
And another week passes. This week, we have been hard at work prepping for Phase 3, which means a lot of animating! We primarily focused on animating the alleyway scenes featuring the roach going up against the mantis, as well as the beginning scenes with the silhouette puppets. Hopefully all the hard work has payed off. Special thanks to Johnny Ray, Diana Grant, Dino, and Kieran Quinn for giving a helping hand with animating this week.
