Week 6 has past and we are continuing on with animation. This week we tried out some compositing tests for the dance scene that we intend to go back to and reshoot, as well as started animation on the alleyway sequence. Midterms week is over and we're all still in one piece! This has been a particularly rough week, with many delays, changes, and sacrifices that had to be made as we enter the next phase deadline coming up on Tuesday. Animating the dance scene in and of itself has already been tricky enough, so it doesn't help that our room has been used for multiple reasons while we were trying to shoot, as well as delays on certain fabrication and technical elements taking time out of our schedule. Nevertheless, we should still have work to show for the next phase and are excited to continue.

Midterms are coming up as we continue to truck along with the production of To Love a Ladybug! Here's a behind the scenes pic of what's currently being animated. This scene is going to be a huge challenge but we're excited to get into it finally, especially with the fantastic musical score provided to us by Mariana Calegari, which we can't wait to share.
The first phase deadline was also this past week and outside of some minor tweaks, the work was taken very positively, with a lot of the reworking in the lighting and certain elements of the storytelling being far more warmly received. Wish us luck as we enter the next phase and midterms!
