Mikael Trench is an experienced entertainment writer and editor with additional experience in multimedia video creation. With a passion for all things pop culture, Mikael covers a wide range of topics including celebrity news, film and television updates, and intriguing behind-the-scenes stories.
He got his start in 2013 as a volunteer at the teen-centric nonprofit VOX ATL. Three years later, the organization hired him as their first Multimedia Video Editor, where he used his expertise in video production and editing to create content covering a multitude of events including the 2017 Atlanta March for Social Justice & Women and the And Still I Rise Teen Spoken Word Workshop, the latter being a collaboration with Georgia Public Broadcasting.
Additionally, he trained both teen and adult staff members in video production to aid VOX in defining a cohesive digital brand as it transitioned from making primarily print-based content. Alongside his videography work, he also wrote countless film reviews and articles for the site. In 2016, VOX awarded Mikael with its prestigious Homecoming Royalty Award for his commitment to their mission.
